Welcome to the Radiology Assistant Educational site of the Radiological Society of the Netherlands by Robin Smithuis MD
Our radiology residency program offers strong clinical and basic science teaching in all areas of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging. Meet our residents. We are experiencing extremely high call volume related to COVID-19 vaccine interest. P

While standing and flexion-extension X-rays are preferred for determining listhesis, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is often utilized to assess the compression of nerve root or spinal cord. Radiology Department of the Rijnland Hospital, Leiderdorp and the Academical Medical Centre, Amsterdam, the Netherlands Publicationdate 2006-12-24 In this article a practical approach is given for the interpretation of HRCT examinations.

As understanding of spondylolisthesis progressed, classifications of common subtypes emerged. The most widely used classification system today was described by Wiltse. 8 – 11 This system represents a further development of the classification described by Newman and Stone, 12 who, in 1962, reported the long-term outcomes of 319 patients with spondylolisthesis. The correlation between the rotary olisthesis and neural canal dimensions in degenerative de novo scoliosis is assessed using radiographic methods.

Olisthesis, also known as the etymologically less correct listhesis, means slipping or sliding. Pathology Types include: anterolisthesis spondylolisthesis spondylolisthesis grading retrolisthesis Spondylolisthesis (plural: spondylolistheses) denotes the slippage of one vertebra relative to the one below.Spondylolisthesis can occur anywhere but is most frequent, particularly when due to spondylolysis, at L5/S1 and to a lesser degree L4/L5.. Terminology. Although etymologically it is directionless (see below) and could be applied to both anterolisthesis and retrolisthesis, in practice A commonly adopted method of grading the severity of spondylolisthesis is the Meyerding classification. It divides the superior endplate of the vertebra below into 4 quarters.
Keywords: Spine; Sport injuries; Magnetic resonance imaging. 1.
Plasmolysis is the of a bacterial cell in a solution
Anterolisthesis is formed from two words, Ante and listhesis. Ante means 'forward or front' while listhesis means 'sliding down'.
The degree of olisthesis on conventional MRI was generally smaller than that observed on X-ray imaging (Fig. 5A).

Traditionally, the “dynamic” and “static” types of spondylolisthesis have been lumped into a single group in the literature. The goal of this study was to define the radiographic characteristics of “dynamic” and “static” spondylolisthesis with the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and flexion/extension radiographs.
The degree of olisthesis on conventional MRI was generally smaller than that observed on X-ray imaging (Fig. 5A). Isthmic and Degenerative Spondylolisthesis: When Does it Hurt and Why? Tommy Hansson Spondylolisthesis is frequently regarded as one of the very few specific diagnoses of low back pain and often also sciatica. Im Rahmen der Diagnostik wird anhand der seitlichen Aufnahmen eine Klassifikation der Spondylolisthesis nach Meyerding vorgenommen. Der Grad der Verschiebung wird nach Meyerding in 5 Grade eingeteilt.
